A long time client of 3 Brothers has reached a point in Land Rover ownership that most of us find ourselves in eventually - it's time for him to part with his truck. We are hoping to keep it in the 3 Brothers community and wanted to do our part to spread the word that this truck is looking for a new home.

This is a private sale. We aren't selling trucks and we aren't taking cuts. We are a parts business and a restoration shop - not a dealership, with no desire to be one.
If interested, reach out to us at the shop and we will pass along the owner's contact info and if it's the right fit, you two can sort it out.

From what we know, this truck was built in 1990/1991, as a soft top, 2.5 litre natural aspirating diesel, and originally entered UK military service in January of 1991. It was transferred to the Belize Logistics Battalion that December.
It was then shipped back to the UK in April of 1994.
That November, it was transferred to Canada, for use at BATUS (British Army Training Unit Suffield) in Alberta.
It was released from service in October 2012, and auctioned off (It's not cost effective for the UK military to ship vehicles back to the UK and they are auctioned off locally when no longer needed).

A previous owner bought it and intended to make it a more usable driver, but wanted to keep the character and paint scheme.
At this time the original engine was swapped for a 200 Tdi and the transmission was swapped from an LT77 to a R280 stubby, and had the transfer case rebuilt with 1.41:1 gearing, which reduces RPMs.
Additionally, the rear axle was swapped for a series 1 Discovery axle, which added disc brakes in the rear. Power steering was also added at the time.

The current owner acquired it in 2021. It was driven semi-regularly, and he changed the soft top, timing belt, radiator, head gasket, on top of regular routine maintenance and that brings us to the now.

That's it folks. This is a really fun truck with a storied history. If you think you are it's next caretaker, reach out and we will put you in touch. Happy driving!
